RECIPE FOR MAXIMUM ACCOMPLISHMENT

There are 7 disciplines you must develop if you want to achieve all that is possible for you. You can learn these disciplines through practice and repetition until they become automatic.

Every morning, take 3 to 5 minutes to write out your top goals in the present tense. Get a spiral notebook for this purpose. By writing out your ten goals at the beginning of each day, you will program them deep into your subconscious mind.

5. Exercise and Proper Nutrition

Your mind is like a muscle. If you don't use it, you lose it. Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field.

7. Time for Important People in Your Life. 

Relationships are everything. Be sure that in climbing the ladder of success, you do not find it leaning against the wrong building. Build time for your relationships into every day, no matter how busy you get.

When you are good at what you do, you must not necessarily advertise yourself. Your value advertisement doesn't guarantee growth and more patronizers, especially when your value isn't up to the advertisement.

No matter the beauty of your signboard, nobody will visit you again if what you offered them isn't good.

Work on yourself and add value to your life. Forget about attention or customers. A light can't be hidden. And no matter how deep it is, people will dig to get gold. Your value first.History tells us that while attempting to invent the incandescence light bulb, Thomas Edison, the world famous American Inventor, failed 10,000 times.

After 5,000 failed experiments, his laboratory attendant said to him; “Mr. Edison, we have failed 5,000 times, shouldn’t we stop?” Mr. Edison replied; “Son, we have not failed 5,000 times, we have only discovered 5,000 ways in which it cannot work. We are closer to the solution now than when we started.”

Success is the achievement of predetermined goals. But how do you respond when things do not go the way you planned? Do you feel discouraged and depressed? Does it make you want to quit? Everybody wants to succeed, no one wants to fail. However, our knowledge of success cannot be complete without knowing how to handle failure.

Successful people see failure as a stepping stone, not a stumbling block. They have the right attitude that failure will neither be fatal nor final. They refer to their failure as “learning experiences” or “temporary setbacks”.

On the other hand, unsuccessful people are usually those who are so afraid of failure and rejection that they spend their lives avoiding the risks that could result in failure. They do not realize that those who avoid failure inevitably avoid success.

Don’t be afraid to fail. Success will not come without you taking a risk.Life is a bully, bullies are cowards, cowards give in when fiercely challenged, life has a great way of bullying those who cower, complain, cry, murmur and then retreat, but when it sees a man who throws his blows with equanimity, it soon open up the gate of success for such a man and then usher him to greater success with honor.....keep improving yourself no matter the challenges and you will be a shining star to be celebrated....but FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT.

BEGIN BUSYING YOURSELF

Many a people today claims to be industrious, whereas they are only gallivanting. 'As busy as the bees' says the simile and it's never a mistake. When bees are busy they do not rest until they are done with pollinations, without which life will be impossible, and giving human the much treasured panacean honey. The busyness of the ants likewise is evident from the size of the gigantic anthill they erect. 

You cannot be busy and have nothing to show for it. I could remember,  as a growing believer,  when I would complain that  24 hours in day is not enough. The astounding reply from within my spirit is 'what have you done with the portion allocated to you.  Few if not many have such puerile mindset, yet the results of their work so far is like a thick vapour that evanesce into thin air.

If you claim to be that busy man/lady, providing honest answers to the following questions will help you to know whether you are really busy or merely dreaming:

What exactly do I want to achieve from what I'm doing? 

Hitherto, have I made any remarkable progress? 

Having gone through these processes, Can I confidently say I'm better than my former self?

Constant self evaluation is the antidote to self devaluation. 

Being busy doesn't not necessarily mean you are engaged. And if you are engaged, what kind of activities are you in? Busyness without a definite purpose in view is like laboriously hunting for fish in the dead sea. Wisdom is required if one is not going to endlessly fetch water into basket. 

Advertently, adept time management is a crucial determinant of success. Your ability to effectively utilise every second of your life is tantamount to leading a truly fulfilled life. A man of God by inspiration said "fools live by the year, wise people live by the day. Those who will excel live by the minute" It is of utmost importance to be conscious of the presence of time wasters around you. Don't be afraid to say 'sorry I can't hear you out now, I got something important to do.'

Every hour counts, every minute counts so does every second. To help matters deliberately timetable profitable events of your passion and be faithful to it. You'll be amazed at the rate of improvement within a short time.

Stop jumping around friend. Get to work! Keep track of time. You don't need a prophet before you know that you are the architect of your life. Sit, think, think and think out a befitting design for your dear life. Stand, act! act! I mean act out the conceived idea to the astonishment of critics. Walk and work your self and your ideas to fruition.

When someone comes and tells you, I can't sleep without you, I love you the way you are and I can put up with your good and bad attitude. Before you commit your heart please, *GIVE IT TIME*.

When You just met someone today and feel like marrying him/her tomorrow, before you do remember you need to *GIVE IT TIME*.

When you visit your uncle and you will stay there for 2 months holiday, don't be carried away that they serve you your preferred food and give you hot water to bath during your first two days and you start making arrangement to relocate to their house, *GIVE IT TIME*.

When a brother visits you and wakes you up by his shouting of prayer from 12 am to 6 am, please don't shut him down, first *GIVE IT TIME*.

When someone joins your fellowship in the first year and he is in every group/wing, please don't rush and make him a leader rather *GIVE IT TIME*.

When you enter a new environment and everybody worships you and eat your mess don't be carried away just *GIVE IT TIME*.

When someone comes with a new business with unbelievable promises, please before you involve your money, first *GIVE IT TIME*.

When you see a new church in town and you hear their waves, before you conclude about how hot they are, first *GIVE IT TIME*.

Finally, when you are in a cross road of decisions, you don't know what to do, ask the people or person involved to please *GIVE YOU TIME*.

The wise priest in the Bible in Acts told them to leave Peter and John, rather, give them time.

You can be good in giving people tests and trying out who they are. Some people know how to pass them all but the test of time they fail.

_Time tests Love and proves it._

_Time tests spirituality and reveals it._

Time, a good tester.

Don't say that NEPA in your area is now the best until you have *GIVEN IT TIME*.

Your Uncle or Father told You that you are useless and worthless and can't amount to anything, just laugh it away and ask them to *GIVE YOU TIME*.

8 WAYS TO GET PEOPLE TO TAKE YOU MORE SERIOUSLY

8 Ways To Get People To Take You More Seriously

Do you ever feel like nobody takes you seriously at work? If so, you’re not alone. More than 50% of people don’t feel respected at work, according to a global survey of more than 20,000 employees by the Harvard Business Review.

Maybe colleagues ignore your input in meetings. Perhaps they interrupt you or don’t include you in important decisions. It’s easy to blame that on a bad boss or a toxic work environment. In some cases, that’s even true. But if you really want to be taken more seriously at work, you should start by looking in the mirror and doing what you can to increase your influence.

There are eight things you can do right now to increase your credibility, get people to take you more seriously, and ensure you get treated with the respect you deserve.

1. Don’t let your statements sound like questions. One of the most common things people do to undermine their credibility is end their sentences on a higher inflection than where they started. It’s called “upspeak,” and our brains are trained to interpret that pattern as a question. So instead of delivering information, you end up sounding like you’re asking if your own input is correct. And people notice. In a survey of 700 managers by Pearson, 85% considered upspeak to be a sign of insecurity and emotional weakness, and 44% said they mark job candidates down by as much as a third for using upspeak. That’s one habit you should break right now to give yourself an instant credibility boost.

2. Don’t just give reports—tell stories. The most successful TED talks follow a magic formula—they are 75% stories and 25% data backing up those stories. Stories provide an emotional hook that helps people remember what you said, and they give you a platform for connecting your knowledge to the real world. There’s a huge difference between memorizing mathematical formulas, for example, and being able to use them to calculate whether a particularly dangerous asteroid is going to hit us in our lifetime. Stories help people take you seriously because they demonstrate that you can apply what you know and can connect to your audience with emotional intelligence.

3. Encourage people to talk about themselves. When you first started dating, your mom probably encouraged you to get your dates to talk about themselves. Sure, it’s good manners—and we all know that everybody likes to talk about themselves. But it turns out that there’s a scientific basis for this. Your brain rewards you for self-disclosure. In fact, talking about yourself feels so good that it causes neurological changes in the brain. So if you want people to pay attention to what you have to say, let them talk about themselves first. Once those “feel-good” neurotransmitters are flowing and people start feeling connected to you, they’re much more likely to take you and your contributions seriously.

4. Do your homework. One of the best ways to get people to take you seriously is to be prepared and know what you’re talking about. Americans attend 11 million meetings every day, and unproductive meetings cost the US economy $37 billion every year. Why are there so many unproductive meetings? Because people are unprepared. Don’t be one of them. Whether it’s a team meeting or briefing your boss, always take the time to prepare. Know what you want to say, be able to back up your opinions with data, and be prepared to answer questions two or three levels down.

5. Stay informed. If you look at the employee handbook for tech company Valve, it says that it looks for “T-shaped” employees: people who have a lot of broad knowledge layered on top of their primary area of expertise. Do whatever it takes to keep up with what’s going on in the world. It’s particularly important to stay abreast of trends in science and technology, especially as they relate to business. You don’t want to look like a deer in the headlights when somebody starts talking about how the Internet of Things is going to transform manufacturing.

6. Dress for success. Fair or not, we judge people on their appearances every single day. And it happens so fast—in about a tenth of a millisecond, according to researchers at Princeton—that we don’t even realize we’re doing it. We make inferences about a person’s character and capabilities based on appearance. If your appearance is sloppy, for example, people are likely to subconsciously conclude that your work will be sloppy too. Looking polished and well-groomed, on the other hand, creates the impression of responsibility and competence. That doesn’t mean you have to rush out and blow your budget on a designer wardrobe. But it does mean that you should show enough respect for yourself and for your colleagues to make a substantial effort.

7. Strike a power pose. If you assume an expansive pose—taking up more room by keeping your shoulders open and your arms wide—other people see you as more powerful. This is a hard-wired human characteristic, as people who have been blind since birth throw their arms out in victory, even though they’ve never seen someone do this. Moreover, power poses actually change our body chemistry. Researchers at Harvard found that after participants held a power pose for just two minutes, their levels of testosterone rose by 20% and their cortisol (the stress hormone) levels dropped. Power poses are a win-win: they make other people see you as more powerful, and they actually make you feel more powerful.

8. Be confident but not too confident. No one is going to have confidence in you until you have confidence in yourself. But you have to balance that confidence with a little humility. Truly confident people aren’t afraid to admit that they don’t know everything—it doesn’t make them feel threatened at all. In fact, the most confident people are eager to ask questions and learn. The best way to show your confidence is to own what you know and what you don’t.

Bringing It All Together

If you feel like you don’t get the respect you deserve at work, nobody can change that but you. Sometimes people don’t take you seriously because of little things that you don’t even realize you’re doing. And that’s something you can fix.

When God created man, He created him to
live forever. However, man sinned and God
saw that it was necessary to limit his
lifespan. When we talk about longevity,
images of the rugged, weathered face of a
farmer or the graying, wrinkled face of a
faithful pastor might come to mind.
Longevity is more than appearances. It is
knowledge and understanding that comes
with living many years. It is a wealth of
memories, and a special time of reflection
and forgiveness of mistakes. Longevity can
be a fragrant flower of experience and
wisdom that one can share and give to
others.
Longevity is also a measure of ability and
skill. Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel
when he was over 90 years old. A younger
man could not have painted such glorious
depictions of the faith. It is also a measure
of the time we have spent with our loved
ones, strengthening and encouraging them
over the years. It also has to do with our
thoughts, our strength and integrity of
character.
It has to do with energy and persistence. We
have to refuse to die, and continue to be a
blessing to others. Life is beautiful, and I
trust that you will live it fully and in
prosperity.
We don’t want to just grow old, but
continue to grow in God’s grace,
strength, and character, sharing His love
with others.

Army confirms killing of 9 persons in twin blasts

The Nigerian Army on Saturday confirmed the killing of at least nine persons in twin blasts in Maiduguri.
Col. Mustapha Anka, the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations Department, stated this in Maiduguri.
Anka said that the blast occurred at the Bakassi Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp and the NNPC fuel station along Damboa road.
”At about 7.05 a.m. this morning, there were twin simultaneous suicide bomb explosions at the entrance of Bakassi Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp and NNPC Mega Filling Station, Damboa Road, Maiduguri.
“At the Bakassi IDPs camp, a suspected female suicide bomber ran into a group of men and women at the entrance while they were coming out of the camp, killing 5 men and injuring 11 women.
“The bodies of the dead men and the injured women have been evacuated.
“At the NNPC, a female suicide bomber followed a fuel tanker in Keke NAPEP tricycle with the sole aim of gaining entry to cause maximum damage and casualty but was prevented from gaining access to the station by another vehicle.”
According to him, the suicide bomber exploded killing the three occupants of the tricycle with no report of injuries.
He said that the Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC), Brig.-Gen. Victor Ezugwu, had already visited the scene to get first class information.
“The Acting GOC 7 Division has already visited the place and appealed to the people to be calm as concerted efforts were on to ensure the safety of lives and property.
“Troops and security agencies have been mobilised and the injured have been evacuated while efforts are ongoing to comb the general area as well as entries and exits of Maiduguri.”
“While we commiserate with the families of the late victims of this cruel act and wish those injured speedy recovery, we would like to assure the public that efforts are ongoing to track those behind the dastardly acts.
“However, it is equally important to reiterate the need for more vigilance and security consciousness among all. Citizens are enjoined to report any suspicious persons or movements to the security agencies,”
he said.
Meanwhile, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in a statement, has also confirmed the killing of nine persons in the blasts.
NEMA spokesman Sani Datti said nine persons were killed and 24 persons injured and evacuated to various hospitals from the explosion scenes in Maiduguri.

The Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abbah Kyari, on Friday resumed work after about two weeks short vacation.
Kyari, who was rumoured, by a section of the social media to have been sent on compulsory leave, resumed his official duty, dismissing reports that he was suspended.
Kyari jokingly asked State House correspondents: “Are you going to tweet that I am back? Can’t I go on leave?”
When accosted for interview, the Chief of Staff declined, saying: “I don’t talk to the press. You know my job doesn’t allow me talking.’’

The FBI said on Friday it was investigating more emails as part of a probe into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email system, in a new twist to the U.S. presidential campaign just 11 days before Election Day.
Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey said in a letter to Republican U.S. congressional committee chairmen that the agency will determine whether the emails contain classified information.
It was not clear how the announcement would affect Democratic nominee Clinton’s efforts to win the Nov. 8 presidential election. She leads Republican Donald Trump in opinion polls after a bruising campaign.
Comey said he did not know “how long it will take us to complete this additional work” or how significant the new material might be.
A government source said the emails were found on a device other than Clinton’s private email server, which they had been examining earlier as part of a year-long investigation that had appeared to be finished.
Although investigations have failed to find that Clinton violated the law, Trump has repeatedly said Clinton’s email practices are criminal and should disqualify her for office. He seized on Friday’s news.
“I need to open with a very critical breaking news announcement,” Trump said at the start of a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, before describing Comey’s letter.
He was drowned out by a chant from the crowd: “Lock her up!”
Clinton has repeatedly apologized for using the private email server in her home in New York state instead of a government email account for her work as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013. She has said she did not knowingly send or receive classified information.
U.S. stocks declined in a volatile session on Friday but were able to partially recover from a sharp drop spurred by the FBI announcement. The Dow Jones Industrials Average closed the day, down about 9 points, while the benchmark 10-year Treasury note was unchanged on the day.
The White House campaign has moved into its final days with former first lady Clinton, who has been subject to intense scrutiny for years, seemingly having the upper hand over Trump, a New York businessman who has never held public office.
Election experts say about 20 percent of ballots have already been cast, as more Americans vote by mail or go to the polls early.
“A lot of concern about the emails has already been baked into this electoral cake I think. They know she did it, they know it was inappropriate and, failing some sensational revelation on Nov. 6, it’s hard to see that it’s going to make that big a difference,” said Linda Fowler, a professor of government at Dartmouth College.
Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, said it was “extraordinary” for the FBI to release the letter so close to the end of a hotly contested election.
“The Director owes it to the American people to immediately provide the full details of what he is now examining. We are confident this will not produce any conclusions different from the one the FBI reached in July,” Podesta said in a statement.
The FBI spent about a year investigating Clinton’s use of an unauthorized private email server over concerns that classified government secrets might have been in some of her emails.
In July, the FBI characterized her handling of such information as “extremely careless” but recommended that no criminal charges be brought.
The New York Times, citing law enforcement officials, reported that the new emails were discovered after the agency seized electronic devices belonging to top Clinton aide Huma Abedin and her husband, Anthony Weiner.
Abedin has filed for divorce from Weiner. The FBI has been investigating illicit text messages alleged sent from Weiner to a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina.
Republican lawmakers, who are facing a difficult fight to keep their majorities in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, leaped to condemn Clinton.
Paul Ryan, the speaker of the House, repeated his call that the Democratic nominee be barred from briefings involving classified information until the investigation is over.
Clinton did not respond to reporters’ shouted questions about the news when she left her plane for a campaign stop in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

At the filing of this report, it occurs in the early Hour of today, and it affects the movement of Vehicles and transactions were not made.
Our correspondent was at the skye bank but no transactions were made.
The atmosphere was seriously polluted as there were serious burning of vehicle Tyres on the major roads.
The security officer could not stop their actions as it was really out of hand. But they were present there; Officials included are FSARS, SARS, SAC, and a lot of Mobile Policemen and Civil police.

The cause of the protest was just because the court rulling  was in favour of Jimoh Ibrahim of the Sherrifs, and against Eyitayo Jegede of the Makarfi's and the State Government nominee.

The crisis lasted for about Six hours.
